The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team™ – Personal Development is a half-day workshop based on the work of Patrick Lencioni, author of the international best-seller The Five Dysfunctions of a Team. Lencioni and Wiley have collaborated to bring this DiSC powered program to organizations through their partners.
Affinity Consulting and Training, a Canadian organization based in Edmonton, is an Authorized Partner for The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team.
The Five Behaviors™ Personal Development solution teaches individuals to become better teammates by integrating Patrick Lencioni’s model at the team and organizational level. This Personal Development version was designed specifically to work for individuals; participants do not all need to be part of the same team. Rather, participants can carry the takeaways of this program from one team to the next, enabling a culture of teamwork. This is particularly suited to new teams and project team launches. Learners at all levels of an organization can benefit from this program and adopt its powerful principles, shape behaviors, and create a common language that empowers people to rewrite what it means to work together.
With this program, participants will learn how, as individuals, they can support the key components of the model: trust, conflict, commitment, accountability, and results. The program is powered by Everything DiSC®, a model that helps individuals to understand themselves and others better. Using these results, participants will be able to create a better, stronger team.

Everyone in your organization who wants to learn and apply the powerful Five Behaviors model. Particularly useful for new teams and project teams who are just getting started. For intact teams who know each other well, we would recommend The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team – Team Development one-day workshop version which contains a team assessment as well as Everything DiSC.
One half-day (e.g. 8:30 – 12:00 or 1:00 – 4:30)
The program contains the following modules:
Module 1 – Introduction: Introduces The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team Model
Module 2 – Building Trust: Teaches the concept of vulnerability-based trust
Module 3 – Mastering Conflict: Helps participants understand the benefits of healthy conflict
Module 4 – Achieving Commitment: Shows how clarity and buy-in are key to achieving commitment
Module 5 – Embracing Accountability: Stresses the importance of peer-to-peer accountability
Module 6 – Focusing on Results: Emphasizes that collective results are more important than individual goals
Module 7 – Review and Action Plan: Allows participants to review what they’ve learned and to create an action plan to improve their team member skills.
Through the use of experiential activities, video, and discussion, participants are lead through the powerful The Five Behaviors model, learning and practising the behaviors that will make them more cohesive and improve their performance as a team member.
